Seeing the real problem behind your pain
By the time many people find Dr. Paul, they’ve already tried other options — physical therapy, injections, medications, even surgical consults.
Some are retirees concerned about maintaining their independence. Others are busy professionals who sit at a desk all week and push hard on weekends.
Either way, the frustration is the same: discomfort every time you step onto the pickleball court or golf course — or quietly avoiding the activities you love because you’re worried about making things worse.
Dr. Paul knows your pain isn’t just about a disc, a joint, or an MRI finding. With a background in Bionomics – the science of how your body interacts with your environment (Biomechanics + Ergonomics) – he looks at the complete picture:
- How you sit at your desk
- How you walk across the parking lot
- How you load your spine in a golf swing or a Pickleball serve
Instead of chasing symptoms, he tracks down the precise engineering problem that’s overloading your tissues, then shows you how to fix it.
For you, that means your story finally makes sense. You understand why your back locks up on hole 7, why your knees don’t like impact, why your shoulder protests after every serve. And more importantly, you can see a clear path to changing it.

A guide who has lived in the world of performance
Before bringing his skills to Murrells Inlet, Dr. Paul spent decades on the front lines of performance healthcare. In addition to running a successful chiropractic wellness practice in New York, he:
- Worked the Finish Line Medical Tent at the NYC Marathon for more than 20 years
- Shared in the success of the Dominican University NCAA Division II regional champion golf team as team doctor/trainer
- Now serves as team doctor for the Brooklyn Pickleball Club of Major League Pickleball.
Dr. Paul is also a former D1 soccer athlete himself, as well as an Elite Fitness Trainer who designs strength and movement programs – not just adjustments.
Across all those environments, he noticed something important: the same mechanical principles that keep a champion golfer competing at a high level are the ones that allow a 65-year-old pickleball player to move confidently and freely.
The same attention to detail that carries a marathoner past “Heartbreak Hill” is what helps a weekend warrior play hard on Saturday — and still show up strong on Monday.
Dr. Paul brings that pro-level mindset to every active adult he works with. You won’t be rushed through visits or handed a generic “three times a week forever” plan. Instead, you’ll be evaluated like an athlete, spoken to like a partner, and coached with the expectation that your body can improve at any age and stage of life.

Turning fear into a clear, confident plan
Starting something new – especially when you’re already in pain – can be intimidating. Dr. Paul understands that. That’s why your first visit is designed to lower your anxiety, not increase it. He listens carefully to what you’re most afraid of losing: league play, travel, independence, time with your kids or grandkids. Then he walks you through a movement assessment that feels more like a coach watching tape than a doctor checking boxes.
Once he’s seen how you move, he explains your situation in plain language. You’ll hear exactly which parts of your body aren’t pulling their weight; how your environment and equipment are adding stress; and what has to change so your tissues can finally calm down. Together, you’ll map out a short-term, focused plan that integrates hands-on treatment with targeted movement and simple daily changes – so you know what to expect, how long it should take, and what your role is in the process.
Most importantly, you leave with something you may not have felt in a while: confidence that your best years of activity aren’t behind you.

A partnership for the life you've worked for
For Dr. Paul, this is about more than reducing pain scores. It’s about protecting the life you’ve fought to build – whether that’s a full calendar of weekend matches and work trips, or long, unhurried days of golf, travel, and time with family. He knows that when you lose the ability to move the way you want, you don’t just lose a hobby – you lose community, identity, and a sense of independence.
That’s why every plan he builds is centered on your real-world goals. Maybe that’s playing three Pickleball matches without limping to the car, walking 18 holes with your friends, keeping up with coworkers on an active trip, or saying “yes” to a vacation without worrying whether you’ll fall behind. Whatever your version of an active, independent life looks like, his role is to engineer your body so it can support it.
You bring the desire to stay in the game. Dr. Paul brings the experience, the tools, and the belief that your body can be retrained to match the life you want. Together, you’re not just managing pain – you’re building a stronger, more resilient second half of life.
